MFT Chibi Light Up Card...

Hey there!  I am here today with a fun post.  A little MFT and a little Chibi.  Have you heard of Chibitronics?  Its a fun element to add to your card....lights!

MFT Chibi Lights

I used the Make a Wish stamp set and dies to create this simple card front.  I added the Chibi lights in behind to make a circuit that lights up the candles.

The lights lay behind and below each of the flames.

And then with a press of the card front....they light up!

There will be lots more Chibi to see over on the MFT blog!  Head over there to learn more about them too! So glad you stopped in today!

I did another impression using all the dies and then cut out the panel with the scalloped stitched rectangle.  I added in some silver thread and then topped it off with the new free with purchase die, "many thanks".  I did some ink blending before cutting out the sentiment die to give just a little pop of color.

MFT August Card Kit Day 2...

MFT_SensationalStitchedFlowers_BlogHeader

Hello there!  We are back today with another day of cards to share, using products from the new August Card Kit from MFT.

MFT August 2016 Card Kit

For this card, I did a watercolor wash and then matted it with black card stock.  I added the stitched white flower die cuts from the kit to the front of the panel.  The "thanks" die you see is part of the new "many thanks" freebie with purchase.  I cut the die out of some black glitter paper.  I finished the card off with some black pearl centers for the flowers.

August MFT Card Kit Day 1....

MFT_SensationalStitchedFlowers_BlogHeader

Stopping in today with a card using the new stamps, dies and paper from the August MFT Card Kit called Sensational Stitched Flowers....

MFT August 2016 Card Kit

The kit includes lots of adorable stitched dies all wired together.  I saw them and instantly thought....emboss!  I grabbed a piece of kraft from the kit and embossed with the stitched dies all in one pass.  Then I added the kraft panel to the Blu Raspberry card base.  The kit also comes with vellum, embossing powder and an adorable stamp set full of sentiments.  I was able to make a little vellum banner with the "smile" sentiment and then added strips of card stock, included in the kit, for few pops of color.

C9 Birthday Bash Blog Hop...

I am so glad you are stopping in today!  It's a fun day over at Concord & 9th!  Its another day of the Birthday Bash Blog Hop!  I have a couple of cards to share today and there are prizes!

C9 Birthday Bash RECTANGLE

First up is my card using the set Pop Art Pineapple (all supplies linked below)...

I did a very simple watercolor wash with my Peerless watercolors.  Then added that adorable Pineapple stamp and sentiment over some silver thread.  To finish the card off, I added in some clear raindrops.

This next card showcases the set called Tree Hugs.  I am from Colorado and my favorite tree is an Aspen.  So when I first saw this set, I knew I had to have it.

This is a simple, one layer card.  I simply stamped the trees and then the heart and sentiment.  I added in some red hearts and the colored in the background and trees with some Pebbles Chalks.  Super easy!
